Whatever happened to Unsung Sewing Patterns?

If you’ve landed here, you’ve probably searched for the blog Unsung Sewing Patterns, where I profiled old home sewing patterns that demonstrated that home sewing wasn’t always about being fashionable.

I had a lot of fun writing the posts, but after 18 years, some of the posts have become quite stale and I don’t have the time to update them in a timely manner. I’m currently exploring some ways I can share how sewing patterns can be used to demonstrate female labor and its contribution to households.

If you came across an archived version of Unsung and have an interest in a particular pattern, do drop me a line. I can usually be persuaded to provide some high resolution scans of the pattern envelope.

As before, none of the patterns from Unsung is for sale, and I don’t take commissions to make clothing from the patterns.
